| Nia & Pilates Safari with Mona! |
Experience Mind.Body.Spirit. in East Africa! Join Mona Melms, personal
trainer and melt studio owner, as she travels to Uganda to practice
the joy of movement where the East African savannah meets the West
African jungle. Open each day with morning exercises which will awaken
your body, readying you for sensory game-viewing and natural beauty
experiences. Close each day with evening exercise to quiet your mind
and body for rest. Join Mona for a community experience with a deeper
purpose!
Participants will be invited to join Mona in two group exercise
classes a day. Classes will typically be upon awakening, before
breakfast and after the day’s wildlife activities, prior to dinner.
Group exercises will include: pilates: flowing progressive movements
to flex, extend and rotate the spine designed to reawaken the strength
of your own body, improve muscular integrity, core strength, torso
stability and abdominal strength; barefoot. nia: an amazing workout
celebrating mind, body & spirit; dance to beautiful music and
extraordinary choreography; nia integrates 9 movement forms based on
the dance arts, the martial arts and the healing arts; nia will
inspire you to find tremendous joy in moving your body; barefoot.

itinerary with wildlife activities follows:
November 28: Depart the United States.
November 29: Arrive Entebbe. Overnight at Golf View Inn.
November 30: Visit the Botanical Gardens in the morning. Depart for
Fort Portal, an area of dense concentrations of volcanic crater lakes.
Dinner and overnight at Chimps' Nest Lodge.
December 1: Walk to Kibale Forest National Park for a chimp and
primate trek. Return to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the
day at leisure. Dinner and overnight at ChimpsÂ’ Nest Lodge
December 2: Depart for Kluge's Guest Farm. In the afternoon hike at
the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, the highest mountain range in
Africa. Enjoy the majestic scenery and varied vegetation. Dinner and
overnight at Kluge's Guest Farm.
December 3: Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, which has one of
the highest biodiversity ratings of any game reserve in the world.
After checking into and having lunch at Kingfisher Lodge, you will
enjoy a nature walk in the Maramagambo Forest. Dinner and overnight at
Kingfisher Lodge.
December 4: Visit Kyambura Gorge to track chimpanzees. Watch in awe as
they hug and kiss each other, play, and build nests. Lunch at Mweya
Lodge followed by a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Dinner and
overnight at Kingfisher Lodge.
December 5: Depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy a game
drive in the Ishasha sector along the way. This area is famous for its
tree-climbing lions. A packed lunch will be provided. Dinner and
overnight at Silverback Lodge.
December 6: In the morning, experience the thrill of tracking mountain
gorillas! Approximately half of the worldÂ’s 700 mountain gorillas
live in Bwindi. You will see them foraging and playing. A picnic lunch
will be provided. Return to the lodge for leisure. Dinner and
overnight at Silverback Lodge.
December 7: Depart for Lake Mburo National Park and enjoy the variety
of large mammals and colorful birds. Arrive at the lodge in time for
lunch. In the afternoon you will have an exciting game walk. Dinner
and overnight at Mihingo Lodge.
December 8: In the morning you will go for a game drive and then
depart for Entebbe. You will stop at the Equator for refreshments on
the way. Dinner and overnight at the Golf View Inn.
December 9: Enjoy the day at your leisure until you are transported to
the airport for your departure flight.
December 10: Return to the U.S.
Cost: $4,295, per person, based on double occupancy, land only.
