Some Nutrition Basics:
Did you know that approximately 90% of your body’s ability and output
is the result of the foods you eat? Nothing else quite has the impact
that food does. What you eat affects your capacity for exercise, for
sleeping well, and your recovery from illness and injury. Not only
that, but it also affects your ability to manage moods, stress, and
concentrate at work. Food choices also have an impact on your hormonal
cycles and your ability to create or ward off degenerative illnesses
such as diabetes, arthritis, cancer, and heart disease. There’s little
that food can’t do! Overall, there is a real and heavy truth to the
statement: You are what you eat!
The Art of Metabolic Typing “MT”:
Since food is so important, nutrition is given a high priority when
you work with our HLC coach. This is not a unique facet for most
wellness programs, but many have said that we offer a unique approach
to recognizing proper foods for our bodies. In no circumstance do we
ever ask you to count calories, points, or think about your foods as
something you merely need to ‘burn off.’ Our information gets you
beyond our well-educated scopes about nutrition, and in simple terms,
delves into the points about our foods that truly matter, the ones we
don’t even realize we should recognize and honor. In addition, our
logical principles work aligned with nature, and redeems the wisdom of
the ages to provide you with food choices that will give your body
what it needs. Our methods work strongly off the principles of
Metabolic Typing. Our philosophy in nutrition is nothing fad-ish, yet
it’s highly revolutionary!
So what is MT?
Think of your body as being like a large, multi-national corporation
that has thousands of employees, numerous departments, a multitude of
communication requirements, complex production schedules,
multi-dimensional supply channels, etc., yet the innumerable
activities of the corporation all fall under the direction and control
of only a handful of executives. Your metabolism works in a similar
fashion. (Metabolism refers to the sum total of all physiological and
biochemical reactions that take place in your body in order to sustain
life). Although hundreds of thousands of biochemical reactions take
place in your body on a daily basis, they all fall under the
regulation of only a few Fundamental Homeostatic Controls. (FHC)
Metabolic Typing™ uncovers the patterns of the genetically-based
strengths and weaknesses that make each of us, on a physiological and
biochemical level, as unique as our fingerprints. It evolved through a
correlation of the known scientific facts concerning the fundamental
control systems, with the clinical observation and empirical
experience of hundreds of practitioners, with over 60,000 cases over
the last 25 years.
Holistic Lifestyle Coaching
Holistic Lifestyle Coaching (HLC) is a comprehensive program that
takes an in-depth look at your entire health and lifestyle choices. It
considers the body as a “system of systems” and shows you how disease
and stress are preventable through healthy eating habits, lifestyle
management, and appropriate types of exercise. The HLC approach is
backed by leading experts and research in the areas of holistic
healing, exercise, spirituality, natural medicine, nutrition, and
wellness. For many people, it’s not until they find a way to reduce
stress, sleep better, exercise appropriately, and take care of their
relationships that they see the results they’re looking for.
Our coaching program is based on consciousness, fulfillment and choice
- not dieting, restrictions or deprivation. The HLC program works on
fundamental life principals that create our foundation of wellness:
our thoughts, breathing, hydration, nutrition, exercise, and sleep.
Through a series of questionnaires specifically designed to address
the areas of highest priority, we collaboratively create ways to work
on those areas so that you reach your goals efficiently.
