What you like best about personal training/teaching classes?
I love to motivate people and, most of all, I love to help people find exercises and fitness programs that become intrinsic, that they are happy to do on a regular basis, and look forward to. I’m motivated every day to train for events in triathlon and would love to share my passion and experience with others; be it in cycling through my classes, running, weight endurance training programs, or more importantly, Personal Training. Personal training helped me grow stronger in all disciplines and helped me stay injury-free for years. I work with a melt Personal Trainer on a weekly basis and love the many ways & techniques they train their clients. It’s in this fun and challenging environment that I’m excited to train my clients.

Why did you become a trainer/instructor?
As I mentioned before, I love to motivate people and see changes happening. It is the best feeling when I teach my classes and people leave strong, happy, and feel like they have more energy than before their workouts. Training and helping people find the right exercise and weight training program are some of my primary goals as a Personal Trainer. I love my job and it shows. I do this every day with a smile and it is very fulfilling to see changes in people’s lives and health through fitness.

Favorite type/mode type of training?
I like to start out with good kinesthetic awareness and control of your own body! It’s amazing what you can achieve by starting out with your own personal dreams, goals and expectations and mix it up with the right Personal Trainer with knowledge, enthusiasm, love for training and motivating people and fresh new challenges throughout the journey of training. It’s amazing to learn the abilities of the human body! I like the individuality of personal training and program design that improves the components of physical fitness and wellness while preventing injuries. Resistance training program design is crucial to a well-rounded fitness program for my clients.

Your own athletic accomplishments:
I’m a triathlete at heart! I’m an Ironman Wisconsin finisher and have also competed in many triathlons; from sprint distance to Olympic & Ironman 70.3 races. I love long course racing the best because of the challenge, discipline and focus required for endurance training and racing.

Things you are currently working on/training for:
My current focus is on the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in November in Clearwater, Florida. I will also be competing in the 2010 Ironman Regensburg, Germany. I am also working on my white belt in Nia certification to teach at studio melt.

Hobbies/What you do when you are not training:
I enjoy spending time with my family but most of all I love being a mom! Being an athlete can really play a big role in children’s early life and catch their enthusiasm for sports. Of course I love to swim, bike and run! I am a member of the POLO club, Madison and love to ride horses. In the winter I downhill ski and play indoor POLO. I love to cook at home, spend time with friends, go to concerts, do photography and travel. Staying in touch with my family and friends in Germany completes my life.
