What you like best about personal training/teaching classes?
There is nothing more enjoyable than assisting someone in reaching their goals, and seeing someone change their health and lives for the better.

Why did you become a trainer/instructor?
Fitness is something I love to do, I’m passionate about it and I wanted to spread my knowledge to help others become excited about their health and bodies.

Favorite type/mode type of training?
I really don’t have a single favorite. My favorite part of training is turning up the intensity as training sessions progress, and seeing my client surprise themselves with how much they can really accomplish; it’s empowering.

Your own athletic accomplishments:
April 2009 I received 3rd place in my very first bodybuilding show. It was so much work and preparation. I set an achievable goal and hoped to place in the top half, and I did; many more shows are on the horizon!

Things you are currently working on/training for:
I am currently working to be a certified “Specialist in Performance Nutrition”. I also am planning on competing in a bodybuilding show this coming spring.

Hobbies/What you do when you are not training:
Bodybuilding, leaning about dietetics/nutrition, socializing with friends, scrabble, sudoku....... and shoes (I just can’t help myself!)

Family or significant others:
I am single. I’m from Tomah, Wisconsin. My sister followed in my footsteps by joining the Wisconsin ANG; she’s doing a wonderful job serving her country while being a full-time student at UW-LaCrosse. Since my sister and I moved out my parent’s replaced the quietness of the empty house with a couple or roaring Harley-Davidsons; who wouldn’t enjoy that?
